Scm-server 4.0.0-REACT19 WTH?

Ubuntu 22.04.5 LTS with Plesk and automatic updates enabled. scm-server runs locally behind an nginx proxy for public access. Today it installed this:

scm-server/stable 4.0.0-REACT19

And, as expected(?) it broke the installation so I had to manually downgrade and freeze the package.

I can’t find any information on it, no announcement, no release notes, nothing, e.g. here

and would highly appreciate someone shedding some light onto this. Publicly rolling out a breaking release like this without so much as a peep is entirely sub-optimal.

thanks a lot for reaching out to us. This release indeed was unintentional and we cannot apologize enough for this and the trouble this made.

Currently the release of version 3.11.0 is running to overwrite this broken version. The 4.0.0-REACT19 version did not had backend changes, so no data will be corrupted.
