It seems it’s not possible to enter more than one character in the text fields:

Hello Luis,
as already mentioned, thank you for your report. This one is on us. I have fixed the bug and released the repository mirror plugin in version 2.2.1.
Regarding the two submit buttons. This is because at some point during development we decided that this configuration was getting too complicated, so we split it into multiple sections. So to update your mirror filters, please use the submit button below.
